The focus of Social Hour is purely to share cocktail recipes and information, however, I have dedicated this one page to some of the work I do outside of the site.
I love connecting with cocktail lovers through events and classes, it’s one of the most rewarding parts of my job. I just want to make everyone’s drinks better. Generally, I work in the NYC area, but I’ve been known to venture out from time to time. Feel free to get in touch with any questions about the below.
One of my main sparks of inspiration for this site came when I started teaching cocktail classes. I taught a class for the Brooklyn Kitchen for years. While I no longer work with them I still love teaching and am happy to discuss setting up a private class for just one person or a group. on whatever cocktail or spirits-related topic(s) you’re interested in learning about. I can come right to your home or we can set something up in the back room at Clover Club, availability permitting.
I shot this course for Curious.com myself. It is in the same vein as my youtube videos but much more in depth. There are over 2 1/2 hours of cocktail tips, techniques, and recipes covering a wide range of topics. You can see a quick promo for the course across the page. Private Parties & Cocktail Catering
I am available to bartend, and design customized menus for, private events from intimate small house parties to big sprawling weddings. I organize larger events in conjunction with Clover Club's Cocktail Catering, which I personally am in charge of. Cocktail Menu and Bar Consulting
I design cocktail menus and do staff trainings for restaurants, bars, hotels, and anywhere cocktails are served. I often do projects with my partner at Clover Club, and legendary cocktail pioneer, Julie Reiner through her company Mixtress Consulting. We installed the bar program at Bar 54, the rooftop bar at the Hyatt in Times Square, for one, and continue to do bi-annual menus changes there. If you’re ever in NYC check it out!
