New Recipe: Tom's Perfect Martini
This is one of my favorite cocktails that I’ve created. Which is ironic, because it was kind of an accident. I threw it together on a whim thinking it would be a tasty Martini riff. But because it was so simple I assumed the recipe already existed in an old cocktail book somewhere. That turned out not to be the case. But while some drinks are very similar (it’s basically a Martinez with a little dry vermouth) there’s nothing out there quite like it. So I did what any humble bartender would do. I claimed the drink as my own, and named it after myself. To be clear, I’m not saying this is the perfect Martini, just a perfect Martini (as in, a split of sweet and dry vermouth) created by me. That said, I do think it’s pretty damn perfect.
Really appreciate how clearly this breaks down the build. I have been keeping my own notes in a simple tracker and it finally clicked why the small tweaks matter so much. If anyone wants a clean way to follow along, I have been using trackdash for it.
Really clean approach to a dry Martini riff — the ratio really is everything, and I like how you keep the ingredient list honest. I am going to try this with a navy-strength gin next. When I am not experimenting behind the bar, I have been winding down with 2v2 io unblocked, which is a nice low-key way to pass the time.

Great timing on this one — I had been hunting for a proper dry martini recipe. I first got hooked on gin cocktails over at mad drive, and this build looks dangerously smooth. Cheers for sharing!
